You, me, him and her

Salam 'alaikum. Salam for all.

كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ
Every soul shall have a taste of death.
[al-Anbiyaa' (21) : 35]

Yes, my friends. We will all die in the end.
Whoever we are.
Like an old neighbour who passes away a few months ago.
Like dear grandpa who passed away in early 2004, who was laughing and joking around with you a few days before.
Like a friend who died in a road-accident after just having said "i really hope i'll see you again".
Like dear baby cat, Putih, who died of heart attack (seriously), which since then you decided not to like another cat in existence.
Like little cactus you really cared for, and died of unknown reason.
Even the leaves falling away every autumn, dying after serving as shades and oxygen provider for over 6 months.

All of us. And none can escape it.
We should always be ready for it. And ask ourselves, what kind of death do we want?
Of course, we can't choose how we will die, or when we will die, or where we will die.
But we can choose how the outcome will be.
Whether we will be smiling or crying.
Whether we will die a muslim or a munafiq.
Can we be sure, that if we die now, we will be among those who are victorious?
Or can we be sure, that if we die later, we will even die a muslim?

I am not being morbid. I am just reminding.
After having heard of a shocking death. It got me thinking.
A perfectly-healthy-before-he-passed-away young person, about my age, died in his sleep.
I don't really know him. But still, the news came as a shock.
Three keywords, healthy - young - sleep.
It wouldn't be as shocking if he died in car crash, or of some kind of disease.
But in his sleep?
Subhanallah!

Wheresoever you may be , death will overtake you , even if you were in lofty towers.
[an-Nisa' (4) : 78]

You, me, him and her. All of us.
Something to ponder about.
May Allah bless all your souls.

Let the rain outside be the cure to our hearts.
The tears may dry, but the memories remain. RIP.

Death is the only thing certain in life.

ps: "To Allah we belong, and to Him is our return" [2 : 156]
De mortuis aut bene aut nihil.
The End.

Rasulullah s.a.w bersabda yang bermaksud : " Rebutlah lima perkara sebelum datangnya lima perkara. Pertama : masa sihat sebelum sakit. Kedua : masa kaya sebelum datangnya masa sempit (miskin). Ketiga : masa lapang sebelum tiba masa sibuk. Keempat masa mudamu sebelum datang masa tua dan kelima masa HIDUP sebelum tiba masa MATI." (riwayat al-Hakim dan al-Baihaqi)

InsyaAllah..gunakan sisa masa yang ada sebaiknya..yg pnting jangan lupa saling mengingati jugak..=)
