Dublin - Galway - Cork - Dublin

..salam for all..

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Compassionate.
Subhanallah. Alhamdulillah. Astaghfirullah.

All praises to Allah for giving us the chance to do some taddabur 'alam.
This great, big world is for us to explore. Subhanallah.

My 6-day-journey to Ireland, or Éire, has been well filled. Alhmadulil
lah.
Jazakumullah khair to all the sisters and brother of Ireland for the whole week of wonderful hospitality. God bless!

The flight at midday was really nice. Really. Because i had the chance to see Ireland from the sky on a bright sunny day. Which was totally awesome. Subhanallah.
As i took the first step on Irish land, i could almost feel the not-so-cold, moist-and-heavy air. Moister than Warsaw i mean. It's like you're breathing air plus water, which is so like Malaysian air, the one that i've missed so much.
Custom was easy and quick as the people are really friendly. Believe it or not, i fell in love with Ireland almost instantly.
A nice Irish guy helped us get the 5-days rambler on Dublin bus, and helped us to O'connell's street. He showed us around.
Connell taking us around =)

Then we, that is to say me, Aida, Hanum, Faris and Dino went straight to Kak Aisha's house to leave our bags, and left for Trinity College to see the Book of Kells, which was in a library with huge, towering shelves of books. Walked around, and went to the Nawwar where we'd be staying for the rest of the stay in Dublin.

A trip to Galway, or Gailimh, was the next day's plan.
It was supposed to be a 1-day-trip. Which, of course, didn't wo
rk out. And along the way, the scenery was, MashaAllah, undescribable. As night was approaching, we had to stay somewhere, which jazakallah to a brother from Galway, found us a place to stay. I'm not really sure the name of the house, but it was really nice of them to have accepted us as their guests. Thanks a bunch! We went to Salthill sea. We missed the sunset but still, it was a beauty.

Galway was such a nice, small city with not-so-hectic-and-friendly environment. We took a bus in the morning to the Cliff of Moher. Funny thing 'cause the trip was 2 hours up the cliff, and two hours back but we were up there for only 1 hour. comellll. haha!

"Our Lord, You did not create all this in vain. Be You glorified. Save us from the retribution of Hell." [Ali Imran (3) : 191]

Next trip was to.......Cork!! yeay! (Corcaigh in Irish, i dunno why but i'm sooo interested in the Irish language. A pity it is as it becomes their 2nd language, which not every Irish knows. Nowww i understand why everyone is so fussed about "memartabatkan bahasa Melayu". hehe. maaf!)
We, id est me and Aida, stayed at the Raudhah for two nights. Again jzkk for the lovely hospitality! I already miss all of you! The wonderful food and Irish soup was definitely a wow! =D
We spent the whole day going around Cork, on foot. Went to UCC (University College of Cork) and the Glucksmann's Gallery. It was nice. Seriously. Or if translation to Malay
is needed, i would say it is lawaaaaa gilaaaaaa. yup. that's the right word. haha! Went around the city center too. And no, we didn't go to Blarnet Castle. Maybe next time. =)

We came back to Baile Átha Cliath on Saturday. uhh. It's also called Dublin for those who doesn't know. Sounds familiar? hehe.
As the bus stops at Busaras, we got down and walked to O'Connell's through Abbey Theater.
We were actually heading to St Stephens Green park but didn't really know the way so we stopped to ask the street ambassador for the bus number but he insisted that we walk to St Stephens Green. It wasn't that far. And it was then that i realised the Irish prefers walking and cycling to taking a bus if they can help it. Cool!

We walked through Grafton Street. It was beyond cool. With people busking and shopping. We stopped at Butler's to try their hot chocolate and memang sedap gila.
Then we went to the park. And it did live up to its name. Yes, it was green. Nice =D

We slept at Nawwar that night. By we i meant me only as the rest went to the airport that night to catch an early flight home to Warsaw. huhu.
I went to St Patrick's Park by the cathedral and Dublinia the Viking Museum with a few of the Nawwarians, ie Kak Linda, Izzi, Najwa and Alya the next day. And oh yeah, the Hugh Lane's Gallery too, themed Francis Bacon, A terrible beauty."This mess around us is rather like my mind; it may be a good image of what goes on inside me, that's what it's like, my life is like that." - Francis Bacon

And i went to the airport at night, too, to catch an early plane to this very-much-missed city, Warsaw. And as i stepped out of the airplane, the familiar, chill-to-the-bone, dry-and-light air of Warsaw travel up my respiratory system. Most welcomed by the white "sand" and tiny, white "bubbles" falling from the sky, i said dzien dobry to this lovely city. yeay, i'm home!

A lot has been learnt from my 6-day trip to this country, symbolized by shamrocks.
The Irish are so full of love. And i don't mean the yucky, mushy love, but the pure love between the people, the old and the young, father and son, locals and tourists. I happened to see how a father teaches his baby son to be polite and friendly to the shopkeeper. Subhanallah. Definitely something we can learn from. It is exactly this kind of culture that we need to adopt, not the hu-ha, pub-going, "ikhtilat-tak-jaga" culture that is fast spreading into our culture. As Malaysians, we are always labelled with "first class infrastructure with third class mind". So let's change from within. Shift your paradigm!

Sure people will say "poyo, up kan negara mat salleh". I've never and never will downgrade my own beloved country, but since Allah has given me the chance to see, the chance to experience, thus i have seen and i have experienced. Alhamdulillah.

And i still love Warsaw more than Ireland, with the very easy and accessible public transport. Sure Ireland is nice, Ireland is fun, Ireland is friendly, Ireland rocks! But Warsaw is still in my heart (next to KL of course! *wink2*). I will, insyaAllah be back in Ireland some other time. Wait for me Ireland!
And again JZKK, thanks a bunch to sisters of Ireland. U rawkk! =p

p.s: forgive my feeble attempt at writing a fully-english post with my rusty english. =)
